Lexie Lou went to the bridge on November 6, 2022. She was the most loving and beautiful soul. She threw herself at everyone who was privileged to know her, and that was many people as Lexie spent her life with her sister Tetley, working with their mom. She spent her days hiking, lollygagging in the gym, at retreats, going on adventures and shopping trips. 

Lexie was rescued at 7 months old on March 12, 2012. She was scared of everything, had an abusive past, had chronic health problems, yet was the happiest, most loving girl. 

She always seemed to know who needed a little extra Lexie Love and planted herself firmly on top of people. 

In her sudden and unexpected death, her loss was tremendous. Because Lexie was loved by so many, that love poured back to her mom through strangers and friends, alike. 

Yet, it was soon discovered that in spite of the tremendous loss, a lot of people do not see the loss of a beloved pet as special. Too many people shared stories of no one caring. 

As part of Lexie's Legacy, I want to keep her Lexie Love going, by showing up for people in their grief and loss, to normalize pet loss and how deeply impactful it is. 

As part of Lexie's Legacy, I am sending cards in her honour to those who have experienced pet loss.
